ITM in Pawtucket Saturday March 10th!!

Posted: March 1, 2012 by Dan in Shows

Rhode Island has been awesome to us and it’s gonna be great to get back!!! No B.S. this night. Just an awesome solid lineup of straight punk all the way through – Headlined by one of the most polished, kick – ass punk bands underground in New England right now, The Down and Outs (click link to listen to them on facebook)

This show is going to be at the very cool News Cafe, which is an 18 + venue and 21+ to drink. The cover is $5 for a great show, but DRAFT BEERS ARE $2 AND MIXED DRINKS ARE $4!!!! So I’m sure we’re all in agreement the $5 is well worth it!

Show is from 8:00PM – 12:30 AM and will also have The Bitchin Aardvarks and others.

The News Cafe 43 Broad St. Pawtucket, RI 02860

Here’s the facebook event link:  http://www.facebook.com/events/307408939288969/

Hope some Boston larrys can make it out to this one!! Hope to see you there!

NO NFL PLAYOFFS THIS WEEKEND?? WTF!!!!

Well good news…we’re playing this all day, all pop-punk extravaganza on Sunday the 29th with a ton of other bands.

We’re on at 7:00 PM, and per (what appears to be becoming) our new band rule, there is an Anna’s Taqueria within walking distance of the show!

Also if you want to reserve in advance you can get in for $8 as opposed to $10 the day of. There are no physical tickets so just get in touch with any of us (text/call/fb message) and reserve/commit up front and you can give us the $8 either when we see you or the day of.

So its Sunday – let’s day drink, crush burritos, and jam on nostalgic sounding pop punk!!!  All Ages, 21 To Drink.

http://www.examiner.com/music-scene-in-providence/band-interview-of-the-week-the-meantime

So we did this awesome toys for tots benefit show called Home For The Skalidays in Providence last month, and this awesome guy Phil was there who works with Examiner.com covering the music scene in Providence.  He asked us to do an interview with him, and here it is!! Turns out he included an album review, so we got that now too, pretty cool. Anyways you can check that out above!

Also, I’m pretty pumped to announce that on Sunday 1/29, we’re gonna be doing an ALL-day ALL-ages pop-punk show at ALL Asia Cafe in Cambridge, MA. I miss the days of these all ages events. These kids really know how to have a good time beyond just standing still and drinking pabst tall boy cans. Anyways theres 10 bands on this thing, and although its not 21 +, All Asia is still a bar so come out and day drink with us!!

We’ll be selling tickets in advance for just $8 ($10 at door) so get in touch on our Facebook if you want to come and save 2 bucks. Here is the Facebook event for info:

(We don’t know what time we’re playing yet but have been told we’ll be closer to the end. We’ll update when we can. Thx to Rich Collier and Keynote Company for this one)

Down To Business Now Available On iTunes!!

Posted: December 5, 2011 by Dan in Studio/Records

You can now preview every song on the album and purchase it right through the iTunes store for $9.99 (they set the price not us, sorry). If you want a physical copy with all of the included artwork, you can still buy that right here through the website for the regular price of $8.00 (Credit Debit Paypal), or of course in person at one of our shows ($8 flat at shows – NO S&H!!). Also thanks again to everyone who bought a copy at or came out to our release show at The Rosebud.

Physical Copy Through Mail $8.00

Finally, we’re gonna swallow our pride and ask for the support of everyone who has already or who eventually purchases the album (physically or digitally) and ask that you please leave us an album rating/review on iTunes.

It will be amazingly helpful and huge for us as it will help bring our album further up the list of searches on iTunes, and hopefully put us ahead of this other “In The Meantime” character whose stuff as of now comes up in the same search as us :-P . Just click “view in iTunes”. You’ll see where you can rate/review.

Thanks so much everyone, and keep an eye out for new shows very soon!    -Dan

After hours of studio time and endless burritos and fart jokes, followed by weeks of me using my “ethnic powers of persuasion” to haggle over shipping costs, we’re finally pumped to announce that we will be releasing our long awaited (by our parents and girlfriends) 12-track full length album!. Speaking of burritos, we are going to be holding a special release show at The Rosebud in Davis Sq. Somervile (381 Summer Street) right across the street from Anna’s taqueria!!! on BLACK FRIDAY (BWAH HAH HAH!!!) Nov. 25th. Shorthanded Goal and others TBA will be burrito-ing and rocking with us as well.

Also, as of now, we’re officially offering a DISCOUNTED PRE-SALE of the new album between now and the show (when the album becomes available) . If you pre-order online, you can reserve a copy of the album to be picked up at the show for ONLY $6!!!!  $2 off the regular sale price of $8. Secure payment can be made through paypal, either through a paypal account, or debit/credit. So for 6 bucks, you might as well just go ahead and buy it, cause you know we’re gonna guilt you into it otherwise. In fact, even if you hate the record,  the 6 bucks will be worth never having to hear us ask you to buy one again, WELL worth it.

So to re-cap, come to the show for the burritos (not for our music), and pre-order a copy of our record in order to not be harassed by us (not for our music)! Here’s the facebook event page with all the info on the show.

Thanks in advance to anyone who buys a copy or comes to the show. It means a lot to us. See ya at Anna’s!!!

This should be an awesome time. This is a going away/graduation party put together by and for our friend Rachel Rosen. A true celebration of Peabody Larryness with other larry ass Peabody performances: Out of Nothing, Fishing the Sky, and Ross Livermore! Tone Fresco will be DJ-ing as well.

This is a public event so all are welcome, but Rachel wants everyone to know that the theme of the party is “Tight and Bright”, so put together your most ridiculous neon gear because the best costume (male and female) wins prizes from a package from local businesses worth over $1,000. I’ve seen the list, lots of bars, liquor stores, and burrito shops!  There will also be raffles for some of the prizes.

Anyways its short notice, but it should be awesome and its right in town, so come out and larry it up, and welcome Jake home from Europe too!! See ya there.

What’s up everyone!! As we speak, studio work has begun on the first In The Meantime full-length record due for mid-summer release. Nick and Steve went into the studio last night at Project Sound in Haverill, MA www.projectsoundrecording.com with our old buddy Jason Duguay, who produced “Go Figure” from Local Tough Guy as well as The Munchies Demo. We were originally going to try to do this recording ourselves, but when Jay heard we wanted to do a full-length, he really wanted to be part of it and made it doable for us, so we want to give him a huge thank you and point out how pumped we are to be working with him again.  Steve has already been tweeting away and we’ll continue to update you on twitter www.twitter.com/itmeantime as well as on here. So keep a lookout for more news, pics, release dates, design etc.

See you next weekend at PK’s!

-Dan

Here’s a sexy one of Nick at the studio to hold you over…

A wise man once said, “Everybody is one year older and probably one year crappier…” – Steve P. Yesterday.

One year ago, an outfit of washed up has-beens with Peter Pan complexes decided to play some songs down at their friends’ bar, Paddy Kellys, on the Sunday night before Memorial Day (“hey nobody’s gotta work that Monday”), giving birth to a new era of Dunkin Donuts inspired fart jokes and bickering matches, but also some pretty kick-ass live shows.

One performance as the Ramone’s, one lost battle of the bands, two excellent shows at The Roadhouse (how the hell did that happen?), 3 or 4 practice spaces, one show at a gay-bar (one of the best), and one ironic pop song cover later, ITM is celebrating one year by going back to the beginning, and playing the second installment of the Paddy Kelly’s annual, “hey we don’t have to work tomorrow” Memorial Day Sunday Night (5-29).

Show is 21+ and FREE!!! Starting @ 7PM and will include Dead Cats Dead Rats and Jon Brennan. I’m amazingly pumped to be doing something musically with Jon again. This guy’s a talented fuck who wrote some of The Munchies best songs,  so make sure to get there on time and enjoy his set. At 10:30PM, our friends, Jon Lepore and Antonio Fresco will be DJing until close, playing 90s hip-hop/reggae/dancehall.

Hope everyone can come out and make this birthday celebration awesome for us, and for you as well! Hey, ya got the next day off right? Thanks so much to Dave Cutler and Adam Drohan.

This one’s pretty self explanatory. People have been asking for a recording of this cover of Christina Perri’s “Jar of Hearts” that we do, so here’s the best we can do for ya. We decided to set up a camera at practice one night. We got some good stuff. Enjoy

And no Nick’s not going bald. That’s weird lighting combined with a 4 year old camera.

  2. UE says:

Fun stuff. How much a gallon?

Everyone had such a good time at Fran’s that they were begging for more In The Meantime. We’re such nice guys over here that we decided to give the people what they want and set up a celebration of Peabody larryness at the The Roadhouse (55 Pulaski St. Peabody, MA).  Doors open at 7:30 (cheap beer here so might as well get in early) and starting at 8:00 we got Fishing the Sky (Rob Hughes) and ITM. Then Antonio Fresco (DJ Tone apparently – I mean that’s what I’ve been told) until close playing the greatest 80′s and 90′s hip hop songs that everyone loves to get down to. So get your 3-ways from Bill n Bob’s, do your best “Niz Walk”, and keep your eyes open for any Jeff Allison sightings at THE PEABODY ALLSTAR LARRYNESS FEST AT THE ROADY KED!!!
